About the position

As the Lead Robotics Engineer, you will spearhead the robotics engineering initiatives within the company, guiding a team of skilled engineers in the design, development, and deployment of advanced robotic systems. This role emphasizes technical leadership, innovation, and collaboration across various engineering disciplines to create cutting-edge robotic solutions that address complex challenges and drive meaningful change in industries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of robotics engineers, setting technical direction and defining best practices.
  • Design and architect robotic systems, defining requirements, subsystems, and interfaces.
  • Develop and integrate robotic hardware components, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Develop software for controlling and operating robotic systems, implementing algorithms for perception, planning, and control.
  • Develop autonomous capabilities for robotic systems, including perception, navigation, and decision-making algorithms.
  • Integrate hardware and software components into complete robotic systems, conducting testing and validation.
  • Ensure robotic systems comply with safety standards and regulations, implementing safety features and protocols.
  • Create technical documentation, including design specifications, system manuals, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end robotic solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in robotics research and technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in robotics engineering, with a proven track record of developing and deploying robotic solutions.
  • Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB, and experience with robotics frameworks and libraries.
  • Strong understanding of robotic hardware components and subsystems, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Experience with robotic perception, navigation, and manipulation algorithms, such as SLAM, path planning, and motion control.
  • Familiarity with robotic simulation tools and platforms, such as ROS (Robot Operating System) and Gazebo.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
