About the position

As a Lead Salesforce Admin at Ameritas, you will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing Salesforce functionality across multiple lines of business. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the Salesforce digital transformation for over 600 users, ensuring that the platform meets the evolving needs of the organization. You will identify, define, and implement solutions that address user issues, enhance functionality, and improve usability, ultimately increasing user adoption and maximizing the return on investment for the Salesforce platform. In this role, you will be expected to design and build innovative solutions that align with the company's future state strategy and vision. Continuous improvement will be a key focus, as you will seek opportunities to enhance the Salesforce experience for users. You will utilize your knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem to monitor trends in adoption and utilization, staying updated on the latest releases, features, and best practices. Collaboration will be essential, as you will work closely with stakeholders during functional and technical design sessions to ensure that solutions meet or exceed business expectations. Your success will depend on your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will be responsible for ensuring that tasks are completed thoroughly and accurately. This position is remote, allowing you to work from Ohio or Nebraska without the need for regular in-office presence.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build innovative solutions to meet or exceed business requirements that align with our future state strategy and vision.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in Salesforce functionality.
  • Employ working system knowledge and time estimating techniques to gather and develop estimates for project forecasting and budgeting.
  • Monitor and identify trends in Salesforce adoption and utilization, keeping abreast of Salesforce releases, features, and best practices.
  • Collaborate on enterprise architecture as well as functional and technical design sessions with stakeholders.
  • Build strong partnerships to understand business needs and develop well-thought-out solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Navigate, escalate, and lead efforts on complex requests or projects involving multiple stakeholder groups and systems.
  • Support new and existing Salesforce user base with questions and issues in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  • Provide test planning and execution input and assistance as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor level degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 2-4 years of experience with Salesforce required, including knowledge of Salesforce product, features, and capabilities best use.
  • Experience with deploying new capabilities, including knowledge of the Salesforce platform and ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce setup, configuration, and maintenance, including user management, security settings, and data management.
  • Experience in Salesforce Flow and Process Builder.
  • Experience in using and customizing the Salesforce Lightning Experience, including creating Lightning pages, components, and applications.
  • Experience with reports and dashboards.
  • Understanding of Salesforce's security model.
  • Proficiency in data import/export tools, data cleansing, and data migration techniques desired.
  • Basic knowledge of Apex and Visualforce to understand and troubleshoot code written by developers, ensuring smooth integration and functionality of custom solutions desired.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions required.
  • Knowledge of deployment strategies and processes (staging environment versus production environment) required.
  • Salesforce product certifications (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Developer, Platform App Builder, Service Cloud Consultant or Sales Cloud Consultant) are desired.
