About the position

The agency is seeking a highly skilled Lead Salesforce Developer to join their team in Hartford, CT. This position is hybrid, requiring the candidate to be local and able to come into the office two days every two weeks or one day per week. The Lead Developer will play a crucial role in various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, including requirements verification, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support activities, under the guidance of agency management. The primary focus will be on supporting existing .NET applications and participating in the SDLC process for the new SACWIS system, collaborating with the System Integrator to ensure effective knowledge transfer and ongoing maintenance of the solution for specific modules. In this role, the Lead Developer will be responsible for maintaining interfaces, .NET applications, and supporting Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) integration initiatives. The candidate will engage in all phases of the SDLC, which includes meetings with the System Integrator, verification of deliverables such as requirements, design, testing, and environment configuration. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of three years of Salesforce development experience and demonstrate strong organizational, proactive, and self-directed work habits. They should also exhibit excellent abstract thinking and problem-solving skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities. The Lead Developer will be tasked with designing and developing .NET/.NET Core technology and architecture for large-scale distributed systems, midrange to client-server, and n-tier e-commerce applications. They will also provide analysis and requirements for integrating applications, assist in migrating and integrating data and processes from legacy systems to new applications and technologies, and work closely with the Application Development Manager to establish goals and conduct code reviews while meeting project requirements. Additionally, the candidate will provide guidance and training to team members, sharing their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while mentoring less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in various SDLC processes including requirements verification, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support activities.
  • Support existing .NET applications and participate in the SDLC process of the new SACWIS system.
  • Maintain interfaces and .NET applications, supporting SOA integration initiatives.
  • Engage in meetings with the System Integrator to verify deliverables such as requirements, design, testing, and environment configuration.
  • Design and develop .NET/.NET Core technology and architecture for large-scale distributed systems and e-commerce applications.
  • Provide analysis and requirements for integrating applications.
  • Assist in the migration and integration of data and processes from legacy systems to new applications and technologies.
  • Work with the Application Development Manager to establish goals and conduct code reviews.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of prior experience in software development.
  • At least 5 years of Salesforce development experience, including coding in APEX and knowledge of design patterns.
  • Strong experience in .NET OOP and SOA.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as ExtJS or Angular.
  • Experience with SQL and end-to-end web development.
  • Expertise in Agile Development Methodology, Entity Framework, Microsoft .NET Framework, Responsive Design Patterns, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services, ASP.NET, C#, and JavaScript.

Nice-to-haves
