The Lead Salesforce Developer will play a crucial role in the Department of Children and Families (DCF) in Hartford, CT, focusing on the development and maintenance of mission-critical applications such as LINK and IV-E, which are essential for child welfare case management. This position requires a senior-level developer with extensive experience in full-stack development, particularly in Salesforce and .NET technologies. The candidate will be involved in various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements verification, design, development, testing, and ongoing support of applications. The role demands a proactive and organized individual who can drive projects from requirements gathering to implementation, ensuring that the applications meet the evolving needs of the agency and comply with state and federal regulations. The DCF is committed to enhancing its technology infrastructure to support over 3,300 employees and improve the safety and well-being of children in care. The Lead Developer will be responsible for maintaining existing .NET applications and supporting the integration of new systems as part of the agency's initiative to develop a Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS). This includes collaborating with system integrators, participating in design and architecture discussions, and providing guidance to less experienced team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in object-oriented programming, distributed systems, and service-oriented architecture, along with excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration across teams. In addition to technical expertise, the candidate must demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to mentor junior staff.
