About the position

The Lead Scrum Master/Agile Coach plays a pivotal role in driving Agile transformation within the client's engineering and business intelligence (BI) organization. This position is responsible for embedding Agile methodologies and principles across multiple teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation. The role involves coaching teams, managing product backlogs, and aligning Agile initiatives with business goals, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Global Data Engineering & BI agile transformation by defining tailored agile principles, practices, and frameworks.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive agile adoption and maturity across development teams and departments.
• Provide leadership and coaching for roadmap and backlog management, prioritization, and work decomposition.
• Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring clarity of product vision and goals.
• Remove impediments and obstacles that may hinder team productivity and progress.
• Engage with Agile practitioners and stakeholders to foster a vibrant Agile community through forums, events, and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering & BI leadership to align Agile initiatives with business goals and strategic objectives.
• Champion agile principles and practices across the organization, promoting buy-in from stakeholders at all levels.
• Collaborate with enterprise agile coaches to ensure alignment of agile practices with broader organizational goals.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to Agile teams and stakeholders to enhance their understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Agile practices, generating reports to track progress.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working in an Agile environment.
• 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach/Champion/Delivery Lead.
• Must hold either CSM or SAFe Agilist Certification.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Trello.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in the data engineering space.
• Experience in the retail industry with knowledge of retail operations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and their data-related services.
• Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Kanban, Lean) and Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., LeSS).
• Experience with marketing automation platforms.
