About the position

The Scrum Master at AT&T plays a crucial role in guiding a scrum team to effectively utilize Agile/Scrum practices, fostering self-organization and continuous improvement. This position focuses on removing impediments, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and creating a safe environment for team collaboration. The Scrum Master acts as a servant leader, empowering teams while ensuring quality and progress towards successful project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Guide a scrum team on Agile/Scrum practices and self-organization.
  • Assess the maturity of the scrum team and provide coaching for improvement.
  • Remove impediments and guide the team on how to do so.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Daily Standup, Demonstration, Story Point Estimation, Retrospective, Iteration Planning, and Backlog Grooming.
  • Collaborate with team members without acting as a manager or lead developer.
  • Shield the team from outside influences to enhance productivity.
  • Empower teams and facilitate creativity while monitoring iteration progress.
  • Represent the team to management and disseminate information including metrics and charts.
  • Work with other Scrum Masters to ensure organizational process improvement.
  • Build and maintain a trusting and safe environment for team discussions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • 5+ years of Agile experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical, Engineering, Information Systems or related fields.
  • Developer nanodegree CSMP, PSM, CSP, SAFe, PMP.
