About the position

The Lead Scrum Master at DTCC plays a crucial role in managing the scrum process within a development squad, utilizing Agile methodologies to ensure high-quality product delivery. This position involves overseeing cross-functional coordination, communication, and project management to maintain timely and predictable project outcomes. The Lead Scrum Master is expected to foster a collaborative environment, coach team members, and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, all while driving continuous improvement and embracing change.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the scrum process with geographically dispersed teams to ensure exceptional product quality and timely delivery.
  • Coach the Product Owner and squad to maintain a healthy and prioritized backlog with refined user stories.
  • Facilitate Scrum of Scrums sessions to align priorities, dependencies, and timelines across squads.
  • Provide role-based coaching and facilitate sessions to enhance team performance.
  • Ensure accurate and transparent communication to stakeholders with metrics and updates on progress, risks, and impediments.
  • Support the Product Owner in release planning and coordinate code movement between environments.
  • Manage project planning, goal setting, and resource coordination to deliver projects within budget and timeline.
  • Build meaningful relationships with squad members to resolve issues and foster a positive team culture.
  • Act as a servant leader, understanding squad capacity and impediments, and promoting sustainable execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Agile Development, with Scrum Master (or similar) experience.
  • Previous software development lifecycle experience.
  • Scrum Master certification is a plus.
