About the position
The Lead SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) at Coupa is responsible for leading the testing efforts of software products, ensuring high quality and performance. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement testing strategies, as well as mentoring junior team members. The Lead SDET plays a crucial role in enhancing the testing framework and driving automation initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks.
- Collaborate with development teams to define testing requirements and strategies.
- Mentor and guide junior SDETs in best practices for testing and automation.
- Analyze test results and provide feedback to development teams for continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or similar role.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and services, particularly AWS or Azure.
