About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Marketing Consultant for the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Center of Excellence team within Enterprise Marketing Services. This role focuses on developing innovative SEO strategies to attract and convert traffic from search engines, aligning with business objectives. The consultant will conduct consumer and competitive research, utilize industry-leading SEO tools, and collaborate with various teams to enhance SEO performance across multiple websites.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business/marketing goals and create SEO strategies aligned with these goals.
  • Utilize SEO tools, data, and analytics to create insights and data-driven strategies.
  • Perform keyword research, search behavior analysis, technical audits, and competitive analysis.
  • Provide technical support by identifying crawl issues, structured data, and sitemaps.
  • Create on-page, off-page, and site-wide SEO strategies and recommendations.
  • Maintain a roadmap of ongoing SEO opportunities and track implementation progress.
  • Measure business impacts of SEO implementations and identify areas for optimization.
  • Collaborate with various teams to influence the implementation of SEO strategies.
  • Educate stakeholders on SEO best practices and advocate for optimal site content and code.
  • Produce executive-level analysis and presentations for senior leaders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Digital Platforms.
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMRush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
  • Exceptional ability to translate insights into actionable SEO strategies.
  • Expert technical SEO knowledge and ability to advise developers and product owners.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to create compelling slides and reports.
  • Knowledge of the latest SEO industry standards and best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial services or large/complex industries.
  • Exposure to paid search and understanding of its dynamics with organic performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
