About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Marketing Consultant to join the Search Engine Optimization Center of Excellence team within Enterprise Marketing Services. This role focuses on developing innovative SEO strategies to attract and convert traffic from search engines, aligning with business objectives across 50+ websites. The Lead Marketing Consultant will conduct research, create optimizations, measure performance, and provide insights to enhance the online presence of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business/marketing goals and create SEO strategies aligned with these goals.
  • Utilize SEO tools, data, and analytics to create insights and data-driven strategies.
  • Perform keyword research, search behavior analysis, technical audits, competitive analysis, and content gap analysis.
  • Provide technical support by identifying crawl issues, structured data, social markup, and sitemaps.
  • Create on-page, off-page, and site-wide strategies including metadata, site speed optimization, and content strategy.
  • Maintain a roadmap of ongoing SEO opportunities and track implementation progress.
  • Measure business impacts of SEO implementations and identify areas for optimization.
  • Collaborate with various teams to influence the implementation of SEO strategies.
  • Provide technical SEO requirements to ensure optimal content and code.
  • Partner with paid media teams to identify SEO/Paid search opportunities and present insights to business partners.
  • Support the SEO Center of Excellence roadmap and build processes for SEO capabilities.
  • Educate stakeholders on SEO best practices and advocate for site content development.
  • Build business cases that quantify revenue opportunities and present to leadership.
  • Produce executive-level analysis and presentations for senior leaders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Digital Platforms.
  • Experience creating recommendations to attract search engine traffic using tools like Ahrefs, SEMRush, and Google Analytics.
  • Exceptional ability to translate insights into effective SEO strategies.
  • Expert technical SEO knowledge and ability to advise developers and product owners.
  • Exposure to paid search and understanding of its dynamics with organic performance.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to create compelling slides and KPIs.
  • Knowledge of current SEO industry standards and best practices.
  • Experience in financial services or large/complex industries is ideal.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
