About the position

As a Lead Security Architect at Cox Automotive, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security architecture for enterprise technologies, cloud infrastructure, business systems, and data management solutions. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to establish security strategies, standards, and policies while ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. You will also mentor other architects and engineers on security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security solutions for enterprise technologies, cloud infrastructure, business systems, and data management.
• Contribute to the development of architecture-related governance patterns, policies, and standards.
• Use findings from security events to continuously improve security architecture and posture.
• Drive service level improvement with cross-functional teams.
• Research and evaluate emerging security trends, threats, and technologies, recommending appropriate solutions and enhancements.
• Provide security guidance and support to business and technology partners.
• Educate and mentor other architects and engineers on security best practices and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field, or 6 years of relevant experience.
• 6-8 years of experience in a cybersecurity-related role.
• Strong experience designing and implementing secure systems and cloud security.
• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Security, preferably AWS.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for task automation.
• Understanding of encryption techniques.
• Experience with identity and access management.
