About the position

The Senior Specialist, Integration/Test Engineer at L3Harris Technologies is responsible for supporting the test efforts for the development of ground-based mission systems and operations centers. This role involves defining complex test strategies, coordinating with various internal organizations and subcontractors, and serving as the primary point of contact for government customers regarding test planning and execution. The position requires strong communication skills, technical expertise in system integration and testing, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities.
  • Coordinate with multiple internal organizations and subcontractors for full integration and testing of mission systems.
  • Serve as the point-of-contact for government customers for test planning.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and testing scripts for manual and automated testing.
  • Execute all levels of testing including Integration, System, and Acceptance.
  • Configure and maintain production-like test environments.
  • Oversee subcontractors during integration and testing phases.
  • Document issues into a bug tracking tool and report discovered problems.
  • Collaborate closely with the software development team to analyze user stories and requirements.
  • Lead test development and peer review activities with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to attain a Top Secret/SCI clearance upon hire.
  • Strong knowledge of system integration and testing processes.
  • Experience in Agile & DevOps methodology and culture.
  • Proficient in JIRA/Confluence or equivalent tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) utilizing MagicDraw.
  • Experience with software test automation tools, particularly EggPlant.
  • Familiarity with all phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Ability to perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
