About the position

As a Lead Simulation & Automation Engineer at Cisco, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing simulation software and tools that accelerate the development of IOS-XR and SONIC. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including Silicon One ASIC, SDK, and Network software teams, to create digital twins of router and AI fabric products, contributing to a fast-paced and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement simulation software and tools for IOS-XR and SONIC development.
  • Optimize existing simulation tools to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Silicon One ASIC, SDK, and Network software teams to create digital twins of products.
  • Contribute to the development of large-scale distributed systems.
  • Engage with open-source communities and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Proven experience in implementing and deploying simulators or related tools and infrastructure.
  • Experience modeling ASICs and NPUs.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming and Python/scripting languages.

  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
