About the position

The Lead Site Reliability Engineer will be part of the Cisco Security Innovation team, focusing on developing a highly available distributed security fabric. This role involves working in an agile environment to enhance Cisco's Hypershield solution, ensuring large-scale availability and reliability of the management plane frontend on AWS. The engineer will collaborate with DevOps teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage complex operations, and implement infrastructure solutions that prioritize performance and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Implement infrastructure for the management plane frontend to AWS for large-scale availability.
• Build solutions for managing scale, performance, and disaster recovery for high-use software.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Architect deployment solutions that enhance software deployment at scale.
• Present solutions to internal teams and drive consensus on tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer.
• 7+ years' experience in cloud computing and network security environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience managing large-scale SaaS deployments to public cloud.
• Strong background in Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools and automation processes, such as Terraform and ArgoCD.
• Experience working as part of a remote or distributed team.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
