As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platform, Web Hosting team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our globally recognized firm. This position is tailored for top achievers in site reliability, where you will have a direct and significant impact on the reliability and stability of our applications and platforms. You will lead your team in demonstrating and championing site reliability culture and practices, exerting technical influence throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will include conducting resiliency design reviews, breaking down complex problems into manageable tasks for other engineers, and acting as a technical lead for medium to large-sized products. You will also provide advice and mentoring to other engineers, ensuring that they are equipped to tackle the challenges they face. In this leadership role, you will collaborate with team members to identify comprehensive service level indicators and work with stakeholders to establish reasonable service level objectives and error budgets. Your high level of technical expertise will allow you to proactively identify and solve technology-related bottlenecks in your areas of expertise. During major incidents, you will act as the main point of contact for your application, demonstrating the skills necessary to quickly identify and resolve issues to prevent financial losses. Additionally, you will document and share your knowledge within the organization through internal forums and communities of practice, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
