About the position

The position at Marlabs LLC focuses on leveraging Snowflake DB for data warehousing and engineering solutions. The role requires expertise in Snowflake's architecture and functionalities, including the creation of SQL procedures and efficient data pipelines. The candidate will work on enterprise-scale projects, ensuring cost optimization and performance efficiency while utilizing various data formats.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Snowflake DB and its architecture principles to design and implement data solutions.
• Create SQL procedures and build efficient data pipelines in Snowflake.
• Load and unload data in various formats such as CSV, JSON, and VARIANT.
• Develop and maintain database objects that support business processes.
• Debug and analyze business applications independently.
• Implement Python programming for development within Snowflake, including writing UDFs and UDTFs.
• Manage code versioning using tools like Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
• Participate in SDLC, testing, and CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and JIRA.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8-9 years of experience in software development with a focus on Snowflake and Python.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data architecture, and ETL data pipelines.
• Proficiency in creating SQL procedures and building data pipelines in Snowflake.
• Experience with data loading and unloading in various formats.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
• Strong debugging skills for analyzing business applications.
• Knowledge of SDLC, testing, and CI/CD processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Snowflake certification is highly preferred.
