About the position

The Lead, Social Media Marketing for Global Jordan at NIKE, Inc. is a pivotal role responsible for managing and strategizing the brand's global social media channels. This position involves leading special projects, collaborating with various internal teams and external partners, and ensuring that content aligns with the brand's vision and reaches target audiences effectively. The role requires a deep understanding of social media trends, basketball culture, and the ability to execute comprehensive social strategies that enhance brand presence and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and strategy of Jordan's global social channels.
  • Lead special projects from strategy through production, ensuring timely execution.
  • Collaborate with Digital, Brand Management, and Brand Creative teams to create engaging organic social content.
  • Ensure content reaches new audiences through partnerships with creators and media teams.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and agency partners to craft and execute strategic social media visions.
  • Maintain synergy between Jordan's organic social approach and its paid strategies.
  • Oversee the global social editorial calendar and user-generated content management.
  • Work with analytics teams to optimize social strategies based on performance data.
  • Support community management efforts in collaboration with agency partners.
  • Develop audience-led social briefs for agency teams and brand creative.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in a global social strategy team or social agency.
  • Experience in social production and programming.
  • Proven experience with social platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat, and TikTok.
  • Knowledge of emerging platforms and social/digital trends.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Experience in a large cross-functional organization with multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with digital platforms and adapting to new tools.
  • Prior experience managing social for basketball teams or athletes is a plus.
  • Experience with content management tools like Sprinklr, AirTable, Asana, or Opal.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Prior experience working with creators, athletes, and entertainers.
  • Knowledge of social commerce and emerging tech landscape.
