About the position

The Lead Software Developer position focuses on developing mobile-first applications using React Native, TypeScript, and other modern technologies. The role involves designing, prototyping, and developing both mobile and web applications, as well as managing a development team. The company is rapidly scaling and offers a dynamic work environment with a strong emphasis on cloud and data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Designing, prototyping, and initial development of a mobile-first application for Android and iOS.
• Developing a corresponding web application that supports many of the same features as the mobile application.
• Creating a web API-based back end that encapsulates business rules for the mobile and web applications.
• Integrating with Contentful headless CMS for content management in mobile and web applications.
• Designing and implementing a plan for growing and managing a development team.
• Maintaining a secure software development lifecycle for the product.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of experience as a Software Developer or in React Native development.
• Strong experience with TypeScript development.
• Experience implementing APIs using RESTful principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, ASP.NET Core Web APIs, and AWS.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with React, Next.js, and Expo.
• Experience deploying applications with Vercel and/or AWS Amplify.
• Knowledge of Next.js SSR and SSG.
• Experience with GraphQL and Expo SDK.
• Familiarity with Kotlin (Android) and Swift (iOS).
• Relational database knowledge and experience.
• Experience in successfully bootstrapping complex web or native applications.
• Experience in .NET/C#/ASP.NET.
