About the position

As a Lead Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in building system and application architectures to achieve defined digital experiences and business needs using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). You will contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including the support and sustenance of web-based applications and properties. This position requires working in agile, rapid development, and prototyping environments, where you will mentor both existing and new team members on delivery processes, project-based findings, and support. You will also be responsible for supporting all production issues and collaborating with other teams and vendors to resolve these issues. Your responsibilities will include identifying and documenting functional and technical requirements, developing and maintaining AEM templates and components, and working with technology teams to build and maintain custom components, workflow development, and Digital Asset Management (DAM). You will build code from specifications, write complex code, analyze code changes, and make suggestions to improve code complexity for maintainability and scalability. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and solve production support AEM issues and participate in the implementation of AEM sites, including the design and definition of AEM content-type models, workflows, content classifications, and taxonomy. You will also work on internationalizing components and dialogs, utilizing the AEM internationalization framework to support multilanguage and multicurrency implementations. This position will supervise three direct reports: an AEM Architect, an AEM Developer, and a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Adobe Experience Manager. While the position is headquartered in Charlotte, NC, you will have the flexibility to work from home at various unanticipated worksite locations throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Build system and application architectures to achieve defined digital experiences and business needs using AEM.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, AEM Developer or related role.
  • Experience with Java APIs, unit testing using AEM architecture, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, LESS framework, and Git/Gitlab.
