About the position

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's Public Cloud Enablement and Adoption team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing, building, and delivering secure and scalable technology products. This position involves conducting critical technology solutions across various business functions to support the firm's objectives, while also fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches.
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on system design concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Hands-on experience in Python, Terraform, and Public cloud (Azure).
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
  • Hands-on experience with a public cloud provider (Azure, AWS).
  • Understanding of public cloud architecture patterns for identity, networking, compute, and management.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code using Terraform/Bicep/ARM on Azure.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Java Scripting, and Groovy.
  • Hands-on experience in building CI/CD Pipelines related scripts for deployment of Azure resources.
  • Hands-on experience in designing solutions and driving implementation on Azure Platform.
  • Experience in applying enterprise architecture patterns on Azure Cloud Integrations with On-Prem Systems.

  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud security Principles and applying as needed.
