About the position

As a Lead Software Engineer - iOS Developer at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in an agile team focused on enhancing and delivering innovative technology products within the Consumer & Community Banking sector. This position involves developing secure, high-quality production code, troubleshooting technical issues, and leading initiatives to improve operational stability. You will also engage with external vendors and internal teams to evaluate architectural designs and promote the use of cutting-edge technologies, all while fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Develop secure high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s) and framework(s) (e.g., Foundation, UI Kit, Swift / Swift UI, Cocoa Touch, Core Data, and X Code).
  • Strong knowledge with Data Structures, Type Conversions, and Multi-Threading.
  • Proficient in one or more Design Patterns - MVC, MVVM, MVP, Singleton.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
  • Practical cloud native experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of GIT and GIT workflow.
