About the position

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking division, you will play a crucial role in an agile team focused on enhancing and delivering innovative technology products. Your responsibilities will include developing secure, high-quality production code, troubleshooting technical issues, and leading evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams. You will also contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion while driving the adoption of new technologies within the software engineering community.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Develop secure high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote new technologies.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Foundation, UI Kit, Swift, Cocoa Touch).
• Strong knowledge of Data Structures, Type Conversions, and Multi-Threading.
• Proficient in one or more Design Patterns (MVC, MVVM, MVP, Singleton).
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning).
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
