About the position
The Lead Software Engineer - Integrations is a hybrid role based in DFW, TX, focused on leading the design, development, and implementation of integration solutions using Apigee, Boomi, and Confluent Kafka. This position requires a technically skilled individual who enjoys coding and driving complex integration projects while providing mentorship to junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and implementation of integration solutions leveraging Boomi, Apigee for API management, and Confluent Kafka for event processing.
- Architect, design, and implement scalable, resilient, and high-performance integration solutions.
- Dive into the codebase when necessary, collaborating with the team to write high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, architects, product managers, and operations to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them through complex technical challenges and fostering their growth.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to integration, API management, and event-driven architectures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7 years minimum of experience in software development, with a focus on integration technologies.
- Extensive experience with Apigee and Confluent Kafka is a must, and experience with Boomi is preferred.
- Experience with integrations design and architecture.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
- Familiarity with Zuul and Apache Camel is a plus.
- Design and implementation of complex integration solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
