The Lead Software Engineer will be a hands-on React Developer responsible for assisting with optimizing the user experience for Point online. You will collaborate with cross-organizational teams and be responsible for translating business and technical needs into creative designs. This position is hybrid, requiring 8 days per month on-site in Lakeland, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Customize and extend the Point Online experience by using React.JS, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and other technologies
  • Create front-end custom web parts, apps and solutions using Point Framework (SPFx)
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to optimize the user experience using React components for Point Online including PnP libraries
  • Develop, configure, and maintain Point sites, custom forms, and flows to meet business requirements and optimize user experience
  • Create web parts, lists/library, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation permissions, and data management
  • Implement, deploy, package, and maintain the new internal associate portal in Point
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and provide ongoing maintenance of the internal associate portal
  • Update documentation, processes, and knowledge articles as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience working as a software engineer in a large enterprise environment
  • 5+ years of Point and web development experience
  • 7+ years of experience working in current web-based technologies and trends such as HTML 5, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience using React
  • 1+ years developing solutions in Point Framework (SPFx) using React
  • 3+ years of experience publishing and consuming web services or API using XML and/or JSON

Nice-to-haves

  • 9+ years of experience in Agile System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • 9+ years of experience with application lifecycle management using tools such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, DevOps, SQL Management Studio and GitHub
  • Knowledge of configuring Microsoft search in Point, PnP webparts and third-party tools
  • 5+ years of experience building forms and workflows using Point Online and PowerApps/Power automated flows including using PowerBI
  • Strong knowledge in creating the team sites, hubs, taxonomy, and metadata in Point admin central
  • Knowledge of automating the Point online activities using PowerShell scripts
  • 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server including writing and executing queries and stored procedures
  • 5+ years of experience working with .Net (C#), IIS, Azure Active Directory and Point site configuration including building web APIs and services
  • 5+ years of experience in customizing the Point site or hub navigation and applying styling and theming
