About the position

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the US Wealth Management division, you will play a crucial role in an agile team focused on enhancing and delivering market-leading technology products. Your responsibilities will include developing secure and high-quality production code, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of software applications. You will also be expected to engage with software engineering communities and promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with innovative approaches.
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets for continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce, developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Apex programming language and its limitations.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce Lightning Connect to call external APIs and building Salesforce Lightning UI, LWC.
  • Development and understanding of connectivity solutions, REST API, Messaging, and Data transfers.
  • Good understanding of OAUTH2, Caching, Future calls, Outlook integration, Open CTI, and Salesforce features.
  • Ability to develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity.
  • Ability to interpret system/business requirements and prepare specification and design documents.
  • Understanding of the sales process to better align changes to the CRM platform.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
