About the position

The Lead Software Engineer for Salesforce Marketing Cloud at Northwell Health is a pivotal role that involves leading a team of engineers to enhance the overall engineering process and contribute to team meetings. This position requires a strong emphasis on collaboration within a team environment, which is essential for addressing various aspects of the Salesforce platform and its products. The engineer will be responsible for problem-solving, sophisticated design, and improving product quality through effective teamwork and communication. In this role, the Lead Software Engineer will spearhead the design and development of solutions to a variety of challenges, either independently or collaboratively. This includes designing and maintaining efficient, reliable code, and ensuring that applications perform at high capacity, responsiveness, and quality. The engineer will also be tasked with creating technical documentation, such as design specification documents, to guide the development process. A critical aspect of this position is to identify and implement solutions that reduce issues and defects within the platform. The engineer will ensure that the platform's code and data are organized, automated, and of high quality. Additionally, the Lead Software Engineer will mentor junior team members by recommending best practices in software design and development, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team. The problems addressed in this role will vary in scope and complexity, ranging from moderate to substantial, requiring innovative thinking and a proactive approach to achieving functional objectives. The Lead Software Engineer will also perform related duties as required, with all responsibilities considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the design and development of solutions to various problems either independently or in a team environment.
  • Designs and maintains efficient code that is reliable.
  • Guides the creation of technical documents such as a design specification document.
  • Ensures applications are performing at high capacity, responsiveness, and quality.
  • Finds solutions to reduce issues and defects.
  • Maintains that the platform's code and data are organized, automated, and of high quality.
  • Guides junior team personnel by recommending software design and development opportunities/best practices.
  • Contributes to the development of functional objectives and principles to achieve goals in innovative ways.
  • Addresses problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience and progressive experience where team leadership was demonstrated.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7+ years experience with the Salesforce platform
  • Experience in healthcare preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud highly preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud, Mulesoft and/or Data Cloud preferred.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator Certificate required.
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator Certificate and Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder Certificate preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $130,300-$228,000/year
  • Regular, Full Time employment term
