About the position

As a Lead Software Engineer in the SAP HR Time and Payroll team at Publix Technology, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver solutions that support critical HR functionalities. This hybrid role requires both on-site and remote work, focusing on the design, development, and implementation of SAP applications related to Human Resources, particularly in Time and Payroll.

Responsibilities

• Participate on cross-functional project teams to design, develop, and implement SAP applications.
• Provide direct support to business areas and other Technology teams for the SAP application, including afterhours support as needed.
• Gather and document business requirements for new functionality and application enhancements.
• Translate requirements into system design and reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure teams to maintain and test application functionality.
• Create, modify, and execute test plans, test cases, and other SAP testing deliverables.
• Configure SAP to implement solutions in the Human Resources area, focusing on Time and Payroll.
• Complete project management activities, including development of project plans and monitoring project performance.
• Validate the deployment of SAP system changes into a production environment.
• Provide support and subject matter expertise on business rules and processes during all project phases.
• Assist with resolution of SAP incidents and problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience with SAP's ERP system, specifically the HR modules, focusing on Time and Payroll.
• 4+ years of experience creating, reading, and understanding system requirements and design deliverables.
• Understanding of relational database design and querying concepts.
• Basic understanding of Software Development Lifecycles.
• 4+ years of experience with testing environments, test execution, and following testing standards.
• 4+ years of experience analyzing, researching, and reporting on SAP HR data, focusing on Time and Payroll.
• Experience with SAP query tools and standard time and payroll reports.
• Experience supporting, maintaining, and testing Time Evaluation and payroll calculation schemas.
