About the position

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a self-starting, team-oriented Senior DevSecOps Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team focused on supporting space domain mission applications. The selected candidate will engage with a classified large-scale enterprise application that utilizes web technologies, distributed computation and storage frameworks, and sophisticated domain analytics, all hosted on virtualized and cloud-computing platforms. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with a team to achieve overall project objectives. In this position, the Software Engineer will implement DevSecOps methodologies within an Agile software development environment. This includes collaborating with other engineers to plan, design, and develop a cohesive DevSecOps environment that features integrated CI/CD pipelines. The role emphasizes supporting the entire Software Development Lifecycle, particularly focusing on build and release management through automation. Continuous analysis of the DevSecOps environment for technical and process improvements is essential, including the integration of security measures, faster security and software updates, improved automation, and reduced software failures. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the deployed system, deploying updates and fixes, investigating and resolving technical and network issues, and providing technical support to end-users as needed. Promoting DevSecOps as a team culture is a key aspect of this role, and the ideal candidate will possess outstanding technical talent with a strong desire to continuously learn and apply new skills and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Implement DevSecOps methodologies in an Agile software development environment.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to plan, design, and develop the DevSecOps environment, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support the entire Software Development Lifecycle with a focus on build and release management via automation.
  • Continuously analyze the DevSecOps environment for technical and process improvements.
  • Maintain the deployed system, deploy updates and fixes, and resolve technical and network issues.
  • Promote DevSecOps as a team culture.

Requirements

  • Active TS SCI with consent to CI Poly Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Security+ Certified.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, and/or Ansible.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Mid/Senior level experience with Linux administration, preferably RHEL/CentOS 7 and 8.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud.
