About the position

The Lead Software Engineer at Nike, Inc. is responsible for developing, coding, configuring, and testing programs and systems to meet digital product specifications. This role focuses on accelerating product development and enhancing customer experience through collaboration with Global Tech Platform engineering teams. The engineer will address technological problems, lead projects, and implement solutions that align with the company's digital transformation goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop, code/configure, and test programs/systems to meet digital product specifications.
• Accelerate product development while improving customer experience.
• Collaborate with Global Tech Platform engineering teams for Problem Management.
• Analyze incidents and recurring problems impacting Global Tech Platforms.
• Investigate root causes of problems and implement permanent solutions.
• Execute on Platform Readiness Objectives and align with Product Roadmaps.
• Reduce technical debt and develop training artifacts with Professional Services team.
• Automate operational tasks and support deployment and data migrations.
• Advise product owners on technology-related business problems and solutions.
• Design and build scalable software solutions and manage existing platforms.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Information Technology Management.
• 2 years of experience in the job offered or a computer-related occupation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Shellscript, Node.js.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and cloud architecture (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
• Knowledge of Big Data analytics and data streaming platform technologies.
• Familiarity with distributed code repositories, CICD Pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with cloud native technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Ability to secure RESTful APIs and Apps using OAuth, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Understanding of incident and problem lifecycle.
