About the position
The Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in an early-stage generative AI startup based in New York City. This position involves hands-on development and technical leadership, working closely with the CEO, Director of Sales, and Director of Operations. As the first Engineering hire in the US, the engineer will oversee offshore development teams, conduct code reviews, and ensure the integration of various functions into a cohesive codebase for the company's Generative AI HR platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct hands-on development in full-stack Javascript/Typescript.
- Oversee code reviews and establish best practices for the engineering team.
- Collaborate with the CTO to ensure cohesive development processes.
- Manage the integration of front-end and back-end components of the platform.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
- Expertise in Javascript, Typescript, React, and Nest.js.
- In-depth knowledge of architecture and system design.
- Experience with code reviews and improving engineering standards.
- Database experience utilizing MongoDB and Prisma.
- Knowledge of DevOps and application deployment.
