About the position

The Lead Software Engineer at Salesforce will work closely with a team of machine learning professionals to tackle various challenges related to forecasting business metrics, churn modeling, and data classification. This role involves creating high-visibility data products and decision-making tools, enhancing engineering maturity and architecture of core products, and developing new data science workflows and automation tools. The position also includes monitoring data pipeline performance and ensuring data quality in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a dedicated team of machine learning professionals on a wide range of problems including forecasting significant business metrics.
• Help create high-visibility data products and decision-making tools for Salesforce's leaders.
• Lead the charge on taking core products to the next level in terms of engineering maturity and architecture.
• Refine and develop new data science products, workflows, tools, and automation.
• Build tools to monitor data pipeline performance, data quality, and models in production.
• Establish best practices with coding standards, workflows, tools, and product automation.
• Review and maintain existing tool-set and codebase; continue to improve existing tools and build new ones.
• Scale the operations of the data science team by building automation and libraries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
• Special skills in Python, SQL, PyTorch, Tensorflow, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Numpy, Pandas, Optimization Theory, Probability Theory and Statistics, and Linear Algebra.
