Leidos is actively seeking a Lead Software Integration Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO, with a focus on contributing to the U.S. Missile Defense efforts. This role is pivotal in integrating various software components into the Missile Warning system, which is crucial for national security. The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment and configuration of a range of products, including open-source, commercial, government-provided, and Leidos-developed software. Additionally, the role involves configuring networking equipment and managing both classified and unclassified labs, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and securely. In this position, you will manage a team comprising system administrators, database administrators, and system security personnel. Your primary responsibilities will include the installation and configuration of VMWare Tanzu, a journaling engine, and multiple database engines. You will also be tasked with developing scripts necessary for deploying containers within the Tanzu environment, collaborating closely with the development team to ensure that deployments align with design specifications. Furthermore, you will create build and configuration guides, manage the software labs, and configure boundary security devices essential for the program's success. Your role will also involve providing technical assistance to team members regarding technology implementation and supporting the development team with code development, scanning, and testing. A critical aspect of this position is ensuring that all container deployments comply with Department of Defense (DoD) security policies, thereby maintaining the integrity and security of the systems you oversee.
