About the position

The Lead Software Security Developer at Guidehouse is responsible for enhancing the security features of software applications and systems. This role involves developing new security technologies, updating existing applications, and integrating security protocols to protect sensitive information. The position requires collaboration with a team of developers, leading software design and implementation processes, and advising on secure programming practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of developers to create secure software tools and systems
  • Design engineering solutions for new software with a focus on security
  • Lead the process of software design, implementation and testing to ensure robust protection
  • Develop comprehensive software security strategies for various projects
  • Implement, test and operate advanced security techniques within software systems
  • Facilitate meetings to understand and define clients' security requirements
  • Actively participate in the entire development lifecycle of software systems, from inception to deployment
  • Stay informed about potential attack vectors that could exploit software vulnerabilities
  • Advise team members on best practices for secure programming
  • Investigate and identify flaws in software systems to improve security
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation to support software security efforts

Requirements

  • Minimum FIVE (5) years of experience with DevOpsSec pipeline tools including configuration management, requirements (e.g. JIRA), automated testing, automated deployments, blue green deployments, and branching strategy and implementation
  • Certified Application Security Engineer (CASE) Certification or Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) Certification
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certification or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
  • Experience in cloud computing including concepts, capabilities, and applications as they relate to storage, processing, and dissemination and overall security
  • Demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams to fulfill stakeholder requirements
