About the position

The Lead Software Tester at FTS, Inc. is responsible for leading a team in the verification and validation of software and hardware products. This role focuses on developing and executing manual and regression testing for communications products, ensuring high-quality software delivery. Candidates must have extensive experience in software testing and be willing to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Verification and validation of software and hardware products.
• Lead a team of software testers.
• Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures.
• Identify system and software problems, record defects, and report the results of testing.
• Execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for integration, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Create new test plans, test cases, and update existing tests while collaborating with developers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of related work experience in software testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Experience leading a team of Software Testers.
• Experience with functional testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Ability to create test plans, test procedures, and problem reports.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Testrail.
• Comfortable working with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Solid interpersonal and excellent oral and written communication skills.
