About the position

The Lead Solution Specialist will be responsible for planning, implementing, and executing multiple business and healthcare technology and/or operations and policy solutions across various business units. This role will provide subject matter expertise and program direction in the research, tracking, and development of products or services and/or policy and regulatory impact analyses to support both external and internal client deliverables. The position requires leading and partnering with teams by assigning and reviewing tasks, coaching, and training team members. The role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring reporting to the West Des Moines, IA office two days per week. In terms of operational support, the Lead Solution Specialist serves as a subject matter expert to internal and external customers, utilizing their knowledge and expertise to implement products and services related to policy and regulatory matters promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. This includes effective communication and collaboration with internal teams and clients, providing direction and coaching to ensure that deliverables are met. The specialist will also track and monitor product and portfolio statuses, taking or approving feedback as required regarding schedules, budgets, priorities, staffing, and work quality. Client management is another critical aspect of this role, where the Lead Solution Specialist will perform client needs analysis and assessment, manage client expectations and relationships, and provide strategic planning input to Telligen's leadership and relevant customers. The specialist will also provide input based on program and product knowledge to align program requirements with product requirements and/or policies and regulations. Additionally, the role involves assisting management in supporting Telligen's management philosophy, which emphasizes engaging, coaching, and supporting employees to achieve results. The Lead Solution Specialist will help select, develop, and manage employees to ensure individual, team, and organizational success, while also ensuring compliance with multiple regulations such as HIPAA and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The position may also require providing analytic reviews of new business requests for proposals (RFPs) and facilitating training sessions for internal and external customers. Documentation responsibilities include creating, updating, and reviewing documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established processes.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) as a subject matter expert.
  • Master's degree in business or healthcare-related area preferred.
  • Four-year degree in business, Information Systems, health care, or equivalent training/experience; 7-10 years experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in health informatics, project management, or portfolio oversight in a Lead capacity.
  • 2-3 years of client/customer management experience managing expectations and relationships.
  • 3-5 years experience leading professional or support staff.
  • Demonstrated experience with health-related systems and/or corporate systems.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience working with Windows and Microsoft Office products.
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with database applications, data trending/graphics, and reporting tools.
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven environment, handling multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves
