About the position

The Lead Solutions Architect for the Apple Data Platform is responsible for driving customer engagements and delivering innovative solutions that meet business needs. This role involves collaborating with service engineering teams to design, build, and implement data analytics, machine learning, and AI products, ensuring that customer requirements are met effectively. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to influence the technical direction of the Apple Data Platform and broaden its adoption across various organizations within Apple.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their business problems and requirements.
• Design and architect solutions that leverage the Apple Data Platform.
• Build proof of concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate solutions to customers.
• Deliver solutions to production, ensuring they meet customer needs and expectations.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to create dynamic solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Influence the technical direction of the Apple Data Platform based on customer feedback and industry trends.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience as a solutions architect, software engineer, or related technical role in technology domains such as cloud computing, infrastructure, security, networking, or machine learning.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data engineering, and data science concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
• Solid project management skills, including prioritization and communication across team and organizational boundaries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders.
• BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Open source contributions in data analytics, machine learning, and AI.
• Public speaking experience in relevant technical areas.
