About the position
The Lead Spa Massage Therapist at Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club is responsible for providing exceptional massage and body services to guests while ensuring adherence to brand standards and policies. This role involves supervising spa staff, maintaining supplies, and creating a relaxing environment for guests to enhance their overall experience at the resort.
Responsibilities
- Provide massages and body treatments to guests according to established guidelines.
- Assist the Director of Wellness in supervising spa staff and maintaining supplies.
- Ensure adherence to Franchise and Shaner Brand Standards for guest experience.
- Assess contraindications of guests that may prevent services from taking place.
- Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of all equipment used in treatments.
- Create and maintain client cards and treatment notes as appropriate.
- Answer guests' questions regarding services and products in a knowledgeable manner.
- Recommend products for home use and suggest other beneficial treatments offered in the spa.
- Ensure work areas are clean and set according to procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Valid state license in massage therapy or other credentials required by the state.
- Minimum three years customer service experience; previous spa experience preferred.
- Knowledge of professional spa services and treatments is a plus.
- Previous massage and body work experience is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and co-workers.
- Must be able to build rapport with guests and explain various treatments/services.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills and work ethic are essential.
- Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational with a professional manner.
