About the position

Aesculap Inc. is seeking a Lead for the Special Operations team in Hazelwood, MO. This position is integral to ensuring the timely and accurate processing of data, managing the pick/ship confirmation of pick tickets and packing slips, and conducting audits to assure order accuracy. The Lead will direct product flow through various departments, aiming to reduce shipping errors and manage special orders that require additional tasks such as etching, engraving, or assembly. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of the Special Operations team, ensuring that all personnel are directed to the appropriate work areas to meet departmental demands, and monitoring the spare parts stockroom. The Lead will also be responsible for training new hires and temporary personnel, promoting a safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable ISO and FDA regulations. In this role, the Lead will prioritize daily work, allocate resources effectively, and participate in weekly meetings with various departments to ensure timely delivery of shipments. The Lead will also coordinate the processing of OEM/LPO projects, international shipments, and returns to vendors, while developing team members through coaching and monitoring. The position requires generating work instructions based on packaging and labeling requirements, assisting in the validation of equipment, and maintaining inventory accuracy for spare parts and equipment used in the repair of medical devices. The Lead will prepare and analyze department reports, monitor team performance, and assist the supervisor in maintaining operations within the approved budget. Responsibilities

  • Lead the Special Operations team to ensure timely and accurate processing of data.
  • Monitor activities in Special Operations and temporary personnel in shipping, auditing, and packing.
  • Prioritize daily work and allocate resources to ship daily orders accurately and on time.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with Sales, Supply Chain, Transportation, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure timely delivery of shipments.
  • Coordinate the processing of OEM/LPO projects, international shipments, and returns to vendors.
  • Develop team members through coaching and monitoring, along with training new hires.
  • Generate Work Instructions based on packaging, labeling, and etching requirements.
  • Assist in validation of equipment used in the department and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare and analyze department reports on a daily/monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with customer service, supply chain, and quality departments to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • One to two years of college preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience within a warehouse/distribution environment required.
  • 3-5 years of warehouse/distribution experience required in a leadership role (Lead/Supervisor).
  • Previous experience with computer systems and software required - SAP/Microsoft Office/shipping manifest.
