The Lead SQL BI Developer (SSIS) position is a critical role within our data warehousing team, focusing on the design, development, and optimization of ETL processes using Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI) tools, particularly SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing projects, with at least 7 years of experience in the field. This role requires a deep understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) design architecture and logical data models, ensuring that the data solutions we implement are robust, scalable, and efficient. In this position, you will be responsible for creating and reverse-engineering SSIS ETL packages, as well as developing custom libraries to enhance our data processing capabilities. You will also implement complex stored procedures and adhere to best practices in data warehousing and ETL concepts within the MSBI framework. A key aspect of your role will involve reviewing and documenting ETL packages, rationalizing their complexity, and providing insights to improve their performance and maintainability. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will actively engage with business analysts and the Data Engineering Lead to provide accurate estimations for project timelines and resource requirements. Your expertise in performance optimization of SSIS packages will be invaluable, as you will provide architectural and technical guidance to the project team, ensuring that our data solutions meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Familiarity with Snowflake as an additional skill will be considered a plus, as it aligns with our strategic direction towards cloud-based data solutions.
