About the position

The role is focused on supporting and enhancing the financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the Food & Industrial Ingredients (F&II) US/Canada business segment at Ingredion. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop financial strategies, providing insights on financial performance, and ensuring alignment between strategic goals and operational execution. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting analyses, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the segment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a business partner and contributor to growth strategies and mid to long-range planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide insights to segment leaders on the financial implications of business activities and make recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Support the development of operating policies and procedures for segment objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and reporting of the segment's 5-year Strategic Plan.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly comprehensive financial reports, including income statements and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of financial performance and engage in regular business reviews with executives.
  • Investigate deviations from budgeted and forecasted figures and propose corrective actions.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecast updates by working cross-functionally with stakeholders.
  • Execute special projects focused on process improvements and cost reduction across the segment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required with emphasis in Finance or Accounting.
  • 3+ years of finance planning experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and experience using ERP systems.
  • Experience planning and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Experience working with SAP, SAP BW, and BPC preferred.
