About the position

The Lead - Stacking is responsible for overseeing an assigned manufacturing area, assisting the supervisor with employee training, safety adherence, and ensuring department performance and product quality. This role focuses on process improvement and meeting production targets while enforcing safety guidelines and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support the supervisor with employee training and safety adherence.
  • Ensure department performance and product quality standards are met.
  • Complete department audits and ensure safety and compliance training is upheld by employees.
  • Provide coaching and training to improve employee performance.
  • Recommend staffing adjustments to meet area-specific objectives.
  • Oversee and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Monitor and report department issues.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the department.
  • Communicate departmental needs to the supervisor to ensure proper resources are available.
  • Track and report daily production metrics to the supervisor.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-3 years of transformer and manufacturing experience required.
  • Basic skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience preferred.
  • OSHA10 certification preferred.
  • Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
  • Proven track record in safety excellence required.
  • Ability to interpret work orders and ensure team readiness for tasks.
  • Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.
  • Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
  • Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed.
  • Complete company compliance and safety training when required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on transformers.
