About the position

Nexamp is seeking a Lead Strategic Communications Copywriter who is passionate about the clean energy movement and eager to contribute to improving our environment for future generations. This role is pivotal in developing communications programs that align with business priorities and organizational strategies. The ideal candidate will excel at synthesizing complex information and customer stories into compelling communications that resonate with both internal and external audiences. As a strategic storyteller, you will collaborate with various teams across the organization, ensuring that messaging is timely, relevant, and impactful. This position is hybrid, based out of either Boston or Washington, DC, and reports to the Director of Creative. In this role, you will be responsible for writing customer-facing copy across Nexamp's owned channels, including the website, articles, emails, social media, and offline materials. You will champion clarity in communication, distilling the brand's mission, impact, offerings, and enrollment processes into accessible language. Maintaining and evolving Nexamp's brand voice is crucial, as is building strong relationships with business units to support organizational goals. You will also provide support to senior leadership and affinity groups, ensuring that internal messaging aligns with the company's mission and product positioning. Your ability to organize and track feedback across multiple writing assignments will be essential in maintaining a high content velocity while upholding a standard of excellence in proofreading and editing. The ideal candidate will bring over eight years of marketing copywriting experience, demonstrating a relentless curiosity and a proactive approach to communication. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity and juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. An online portfolio showcasing your writing samples is required, along with a commitment to Nexamp's mission of addressing the climate crisis. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 8+ years of marketing copywriting experience.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into simple, digestible communication.
  • Experience working across multiple subject matter experts and organizational perspectives.
  • Self-starter and strategic thinker, comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Proactive approach to communication and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating ideas and perspectives.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships with stakeholders.
