About the position

The Lead Structural Engineer SE - Manager of Marine Infrastructure/Waterfront Projects is a senior role focused on overseeing and managing waterfront and industrial infrastructure projects. This position requires a strong background in structural engineering, particularly in marine engineering, and involves collaboration with teams to deliver innovative solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role emphasizes mentorship, project management, and the application of engineering expertise to achieve successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Managing project tasks, ensuring efficient coordination of timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections as necessary to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Mentor team members to support their professional growth and development.
  • Apply engineering expertise to diverse projects, collaborating with teams to devise innovative solutions in areas such as pile design, bulkhead wall, prestressed concrete, and seismic design.
  • Contribute to projects involving waterfront infrastructure and industrial developments, leveraging skills to drive successful outcomes.
  • Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies to contribute to project success.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle, including understanding regulations and permitting requirements.
  • Identify and overcome challenges through innovative problem-solving approaches.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of structural design experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Structural Engineer (S.E.) Required.
  • Concrete, steel, and timber design experience.
  • Pile design and bulkhead wall experience.
  • Prestressed concrete and seismic design experience.
  • Knowledge of ASCE 61-14, AASHTO, IBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI, and NDS.
  • Proficiency in SAP2000, L-Pile, MS Excel, and VBA is preferred.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven capability to work dynamically and effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for developing design and project management skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and exceeding expectations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in SAP2000, L-Pile, MS Excel, and VBA is preferred.
