About the position

The Subcontracts Lead at L3Harris Technologies is responsible for managing the entire life-cycle of subcontracts, which includes sourcing, negotiation, execution, and closeout. This role involves working with various customer segments, including U.S. Federal Government and international clients, and requires expertise in different subcontract types to effectively manage risk. The position demands collaboration with multiple departments to ensure successful subcontract execution and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall life-cycle of subcontracts from sourcing to closeout.
  • Develop acquisition strategies and subcontract requirements, including SOW development.
  • Generate solicitations and requests for proposals, and conduct source selection.
  • Negotiate terms, price, schedule, and technical aspects of subcontracts.
  • Establish and maintain official subcontract files and documentation.
  • Manage supplier cost and schedule performance, collaborating with engineering teams.
  • Support business development activities by initiating subcontract processes for new pursuits.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential bidders regarding risk and capability.
  • Support audits by government, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with 7 years of experience, or 13 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 7 years in Procurement and/or Subcontracts.
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Contracts, Program Management, Engineering, or Finance.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in risk management and negotiation.

Nice-to-haves

  • DoD Clearance is desired but not required.
  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager for Subcontracts.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
