About the position

The Lead Supervisor I at Coach plays a crucial role in the store's success by modeling exemplary behaviors that impact sales and operational processes. This position requires adaptability to various roles within the store environment and involves leading the sales team to meet company objectives while ensuring high standards of customer service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Understand organizational objectives and make decisions in partnership with Store Manager(s) and Assistant Store Manager(s).
  • Model and develop the team to deliver Coach's Selling and Service expectations.
  • Enforce sales strategies and initiatives across all categories.
  • Work with Store Manager(s) and/or Assistant Store Manager(s) to flex store business strategies and personal selling techniques.
  • Leverage floor supervisor assignment responsibilities to deliver strong metrics and results.
  • Hold sales team accountable for personal sales and maximize clienteling strategy.
  • Build credibility and trust with team and customers, serving as a personal fashion advisor.
  • Create positive impressions with store team and customers through appropriate business attire.
  • Act as a brand ambassador in the local market to drive brand loyalty and business.
  • Tailor approach to customer and team needs by reading cues and being solution-oriented.
  • Develop self and individual product knowledge skills and remain aware of current collections.
  • Understand the positive sales impact of staffing and recruit accordingly.
  • Coach, develop, and motivate the team to meet goals and utilize Company tools.
  • Provide regular feedback to others and coach performance to a higher standard.
  • Manage daily operational tasks according to Coach standards and maintain a calm demeanor.
  • Interact and communicate with supervisor(s) regularly and adapt to business needs.
  • Maintain the interior and exterior upkeep of the building in partnership with the corporate office.
  • Understand and use all retail systems and reporting tools to make informed decisions.
  • Adhere to all applicable Coach retail policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous retail experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment.
  • Current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the ability to use iPad/laptop and Mobile POS.
  • Ability to execute at a fast pace and communicate effectively with customers and team.
  • Ability to maneuver the sales floor, sales shelves, and stock room; climbing, bending, and kneeling are required.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and, at times, lift and carry product/cartons up to 50 pounds.
