About the position

The Lead Supply Technician (Office Automation) serves as a work leader in providing supply operations support for specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts that require special handling. This role involves overseeing a team, conducting complex supply transactions, and ensuring effective supply support for various operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the work leader by communicating assignments and explaining team goals and objectives.
• Observe and coach the activities of three or more employees.
• Conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions.
• Provide supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.
• Determine stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on various demands.
• Prepare recurring and special reports, compiling statistics requiring substantial analysis.
• Perform administrative office support functions and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Use multiple office automation software to produce a wide range of documents.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 level or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Knowledge of office automation software procedures and functions.
• Ability to lead a group of civilians and provide guidance/training on supply processes.
• Skill to receive, screen, review, and verify supply documents.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with automated supply systems.
• Familiarity with standard office equipment such as copiers and fax machines.
