About the position

The Lead Systems Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure Engineering role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing cloud infrastructure to ensure high reliability and resilience. This position involves developing strategies for application and data recovery, implementing cloud security best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet their needs. The role also requires monitoring cloud environments and staying updated with industry trends in cloud computing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize cloud infrastructure for reliability and resilience.
• Develop strategies for application and data recovery to ensure business continuity.
• Implement best practices for cloud security and compliance with company protocols and government regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and ensure cloud solution reliability.
• Work with architecture and design teams to develop technical reliability frameworks for public cloud.
• Engage with cloud service providers to ensure their SLAs meet uptime and latency requirements.
• Monitor and manage cloud environments to identify and address reliability issues.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 7 years with an Advanced degree, or 4 years with a PhD, or 13+ years of relevant work experience.
• 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree, or 6+ years with a PhD preferred.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years working experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role in public cloud computing.
• Certifications in cloud computing such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Experience in designing and implementing resilient cloud-based solutions.
• Experience in designing Public and Hybrid network architectures, VPC, and security group management.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and tools for CI/CD.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
