Visa is seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineer specializing in DevOps and Cloud Operations to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building high-volume, high-performance, and highly available payment services solutions that enhance customer experience. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the platform team, architecting the infrastructure, automating and modernizing CI/CD flows, deploying new products and updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that align with our customers' needs. Your performance will be evaluated based on improvements in deployment processes and times, reductions in server alarms, and the efficient operation of resources. The ultimate goal is to ensure that our application traffic scales without an increase in error reports while maintaining or improving our error rate, response times, and uptime. Strong scripting skills are essential for this position. As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will design and develop automation to support continuous delivery and integration processes. You will build and set up new development and CI/CD tools and infrastructure, understand stakeholder needs, and communicate these effectively to developers. Your role will also involve automating and improving development and release processes, testing and analyzing code written by others, ensuring systems are secure against cybersecurity threats, and identifying technical problems while developing software updates and fixes. You will be responsible for project planning and management decisions, application support, and meeting objectives and deadlines for projects assigned to your area. Additionally, you will set up new sites and applications via configuration management, maintain tracking and documentation software, and support the development lifecycle of platform architectural design, deployment, and debugging. This position is hybrid, allowing you to alternate between remote work and office presence. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week, with a general guideline of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
