Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer - Major Problem Workflow Coordinator as part of the Technology Major Incident and Problem Management (TMIPM) team. This role is crucial for managing the intake and optimizing the flow of work for problem management. The lead engineer will leverage an advanced understanding of major problem and incident management practices and tools, while maintaining a strong knowledge of ITIL, Agile, and SRE practices. The position requires adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, partnership-centric environment that bridges business and technology. In this role, the Lead Systems Operations Engineer will lead complex, broad impact initiatives, providing high-level systems consultation for technology teams. The engineer will participate in large-scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing complex technical challenges and escalated support issues related to core business solutions, which necessitate in-depth evaluations of multiple factors, including alternatives, enhancements, and periodic systems reviews. The engineer will make decisions on technical changes and enhancements, consulting with the engineering team on change designs that require a solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives. Collaboration is key in this role, as the engineer will work closely with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve organizational goals. The position demands strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage daily operations, oversee workflow and scheduling within Major Problem Management, and ensure efficient communication between departments and stakeholders. The engineer will also be responsible for task coordination, quality control, process improvements, and maintaining strong relationships with business and technology partners, while proactively identifying stability issues or risks that could negatively affect platform areas.
