About the position

The Lead, Systems Workflow Engineer at Royal Caribbean Group is responsible for ensuring the stability, efficiency, and integrity of systems workflows within the Product Development and Private Destinations sectors. This role involves leadership, management, and governance to support business objectives, while overseeing all systems workflows for various projects. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to address concerns and improve system functionalities, ensuring high-quality operations and compliance with departmental policies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, document, implement, and integrate systems and tools with the internal RCG IT group.
  • Communicate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with RCG IT, software vendors, and internal power users.
  • Monitor and maintain systems, including performing system upgrades and capacity planning.
  • Install, configure, and test systems and system management tools.
  • Work with internal power users to define system functionality.
  • Collaborate with RCG IT, software vendors, power users, and other corporate resources to ensure high-quality systems operations and workflows.
  • Communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Provide strategies to management for addressing internal team constraint roadblocks.
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures to improve the adequacy and efficiency of department's systems workflows.
  • Initiate and execute intra-departmental communication and improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software architecture, computer engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant experience designing, implementing, and integrating systems.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk, SmartSheet, Microsoft Office Suite, and Slack.
  • Knowledge of methodologies such as agile, scrum, and/or kaizen.
  • Demonstrated creativity combined with analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to drive results.
  • Team management experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • 5 - 10 years of professional experience in the cruise industry preferable.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under little supervision and pressure.
  • Ability to work with confidential material.
